CHALLENGE KANCHANABURI, the most recent world-class triathlon event of CHALLENGE FAMILY, provides strength test newly that challenges physical and mental capabilities.

In this event, athletes will get exciting experience from swimming in the Srinakharind Dam, a symbolic destination of Kanchanaburi and be enjoy riding a bicycle on breathtaking course that most of route is curve and downhill as well as seeing beautiful scenery of natural forest before running on course along the hills that consume more your energy.

Undoubtedly, running along this course, athletes touch local folkways, beautiful nature and variety of courses as a grueling test. All of this is … unique and exclusive charm …!!!

CHALLENGE FAMILY welcomes all athletes to Triathlon CHALLENGE KANCHANABURI featuring as follows: Half Distance Triathlon includes 1.9 km swimming, 90 km cycling and 21 km running. Olympic Distance Triathlon includes 1.5 km swimming, 40 km cycling and 10 km running.

 

Half Distance Triathlon


Swim Course

Distance: 1.9 kilometers

Swimming direction (clockwise) go out 750 meters, turn right for 550 meters and turn right again for another 600 meters before landing and run into transition

BIKE COURSE: HALF

Distance: 90 kilometers

90 km Cycling Route

  • 0+000 Start from the transition at the parking lot of the dam ridge, cycle pass the main dam ridge and pass the dam’s exit
  • 5+500 Turn Left to road No. 3199 and head for Tab Tao hill and pass Tha Kradan sub-district
  • 18+500 Turn right to Tha Kradan T-junction, pass Nong Ped sub-district administration organization and head for ferry pier
  • 36+000 Turn right at Dan Mae Chalaep (Teng) T-junction for more 9 km
  • 45+000 U-Turn and use the same route
  • 54+000 Turn left at Dan Mae Chalaep T-junction, head for Tha Kradan sub-district and pass Nong Ped sub-district administration organization
  • 71+500 Turn left at Tha Kradan sub-district for Tab Tao hill
  • 84+000 Turn right to the Dam
  • 84+700 Turn left to the bridge, pass Erawan sub-district office and return to the dam office
  • 90+000 Cycle to the transition

Bike Half

 


 

RUN COURSE: HALF

Distance: 21.00 kilometers < 7 km / 3 lap >

21 km running (3 rounds, each round is 7 km): Start at the transition, pass the back of the dam ridge, pass the sundial T-junction and head for the dam office T-junction, turn left and pass the front of the dam office. At T-junction leading to employees’ houses, turn right for more 250 meters and U-turn for the same route, turn left at the dam office T-junction and pass the sundial T-junction and head for the dam ridge, run pass the ridge to end of the ridge, U-turn to the ridge route and use the same route for second and third rounds before entering the finish line.

Swim Course

Distance: 1.5 kilometers

Swimming direction ( clockwise) go out 600 meters, turn right for 300 meters and turn right again for more 600 meters before landing and run into transition

Distance: 38 kilometers

38 km Cycling Route

  • 0+000 start from the transition at the parking lot of the dam ridge, cycle pass the main dam ridge and pass the dam’s exit
  • 5+500 Turn right left to road No. 3199 and head for Tab Tao hill and pass Tha Kradan sub-district
  • 18+500 Turn right at Tha Kradan T-junction, pass Nong Ped sub-district administration organization and head for ferry pier
  • 20+000 U-Turn and use the same route
  • 21+500 Turn left at Tha Kradan sub-district for for Tab Tao hill
  • 34+500 Turn right to the Dam
  • 35+200 Turn left to the bridge, pass Erawan sub-district office and U-turn to the dam at its office
  • 40+000 Cycle to the transition

RUN COURSE: OLYMPIC

Distance: 10 kilometers < 5 km / 2 lap >

10 km running (2 rounds, each round is 5 km): Start at the transition, pass the back of the dam ridge, pass the sundial T-junction and head for the dam office T-junction, turn left and pass the front of the dam office and turn left again for 850 meters, then U-turn to the same route, turn left at the dam office T-junction and pass the sundial T-junction and head for the dam ridge, run pass the ridge to end of the ridge, U-turn to the ridge route and use the same route for second round before entering the finish line
